We now ascend to the small cupola at the top of the house. From the eight windows, one can see all over the surrounding countryside.

Above our heads is the eight-panel skylight.

We are looking down the circular staircase from the second floor balcony. I believe there are two Conservancy members bidding us farewell.

However, our tour would not be complete without this aerial view of the Octagon House, taken in 1957 by the Columbus Dispatch.
